The Kentish plover is a coastal bird that lives along the coasts and marshy areas of Europe, Asia, North and West Africa. Despite being protected by the EU Birds Directive, it is threatened by the loss of dune habitat caused by the intense exploitation of the coast for tourism and construction. By maintaining the awareness that we share our beautiful beaches with the Kentish plover’s habitat, we can be more respectful and careful in preserving the rich biodiversity that still surrounds us.

In Sardinia bees have always been linked to the female universe. The documentary tells the story of six beekeepers from the south-west: the century-old swarm hunter Verina Olla, the rebellious entrepreneur Maria Aresu, the queen breeder Barbara Foddi, the writer Cristina Caboni, the anthropologist Greca Meloni and the ethologist Michelina Pusceddu. Their experiences intertwine against the backdrop of a little-known Sardinia: full of hardship, but overflowing with life, just like a beehive.
